Autologin with lighdm and xfce

To enable auto-login in lightdm (new Ubuntu 11.10), edit

/etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf

and add:

[SeatDefaults]
greeter-session=unity-greeter
user-session=xfce
autologin-user=

You can also log into other session. The list of available sessions can be found in

/usr/share/xsessions/

directory (just remove .desktop extension).

ls /usr/share/xsessions/
gnome-classic.desktop  gnome-classic-guest-restricted.desktop  gnome.desktop  
gnome-fallback.desktop  gnome-shell.desktop  guest-restricted.desktop  
ubuntu-2d.desktop  ubuntu.desktop  xfce.desktop  xsession.desktop  xterm.desktop
